PALIO ELATOCHORI OF PIERIA

The Palio Elatochori of Pieria village it is one of the most beautiful mountain destinations not only in Northern Greece and the whole of the country. The wild beauty of the mountainous nature of the dense forests, the picturesque Old Elatochori ski center and the place between archaeological site of Dion but of Vergina, the birthplace of his father M. The Pieria Mountain has its own ridge that extends from the southwest to the northeast, the highest peak in the union Flag (2194 m). Of great interest is, the Folklore Collection with objects from everyday life, the activities and habits of the inhabitants of the village. The collection belonged to the Folklore Group of Elatochori and is located in the hall of the Municipal store (formerly the community store) Elatochori.
